Mark 1

(15 MINUTES)
Memorize and recite this verse with your children throughout the week
"I will . . . cleanse them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God."
- Ezekiel 37:23

(15 MINUTES)
Watch the video below with your children.

(10 MINUTES)
Take time with your family to discuss these questions (or variations of these questions) together, and reflect on this week’s truth and Word.
1. Question: Since God was perfectly holy, what were his people to be? What did they have to do to remain holy?
Takeaway: Because God is perfectly holy, he wants his people to be holy.
2. Question: Who was the most unclean person in our story? What was it like to be a leper? Was there any way that lepers could be made clean? What did the leper believe only Jesus could do for him?
Takeaway: The unclean can be made clean by Jesus.
3. Question: When Jesus healed the leper, what did he tell him to do? What did he tell him not to do? What did the leper do? When someone does something amazing for you, what do you want to do?
Takeaway: When God makes us clean, we want to tell others!
4. Question: Why didn’t people touch lepers? Why did Jesus touch the leper to heal him? How can Jesus make us, not just the leper, clean and righteous?
Takeaway: Jesus took our uncleanness to make us clean.

As your family reflects on the truths you learned in this week’s lesson, pray together.
Here are some questions to get you started...
- What did I learn about God that I can praise Him for?
- What sins and weaknesses can I confess to God?
- What promises can I thank God for?
